insytesBI turns the files a business already has (bank statements, invoice lists, sales reports), or just the figures you know, into plain answers: where the money went, whether you made a profit, how you did against budget, what is late and what next month looks like.
How the numbers are made
Every figure is calculated by code from the rows in your file, using formulas that are named on the page next to the result. Nothing is estimated by a language model. When a file cannot support an answer — too little history, a missing column — the tool says so rather than filling the gap.
Where the data comes from
The calculators use published official tables, each dated, and are updated when the source publishes new figures.
- Inflation: BLS consumer price index (CPI-U), January 1913 to Sep 2026, refreshed each month after the BLS release.
- 2026 income tax, standard deduction, Section 179 and QBI: IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-32, as amended by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
- Self-employment tax: Social Security wage base and the IRS Form 1040-ES due dates.
- Depreciation: IRS Publication 946 MACRS tables and property classes.
- Sales tax: Tax Foundation state and local rates as of July 1, 2026, refreshed each January and July.
- Industry margins and multiples: Aswath Damodaran, NYU Stern, January 2026 data for 94 U.S. industries.
- Small-business sale prices: BizBuySell Insight Report, Q2 2026.
