What to expect
Formats PNC offers
Spreadsheet (CSV), plus Quicken and QuickBooks formats
How far back
PNC does not publish one figure for how far back a download reaches; reports range from a few months to about 18 months. For older months, upload your PDF statements instead.
When you upload it to insytesBI
insytesBI reads the date, description and amount columns from the PNC file, and asks once if a column is unclear. PDF statements work too, so older months can be added alongside the CSV.
Choose CSV. PNC offers Spreadsheet (CSV), plus Quicken and QuickBooks formats. A CSV opens in Excel and Google Sheets and is the safest choice for insytesBI; a QFX or OFX file also works in the bank statement tools.
How far back can I download PNC transactions?
PNC does not publish one figure for how far back a download reaches; reports range from a few months to about 18 months. For older months, upload your PDF statements instead.
Can I upload a PNC PDF statement instead?
Yes. A PDF statement downloaded from online banking is read directly by the bank statement analyzer and converter. Scanned paper statements cannot be read, because they are a picture rather than text; for those, download the CSV.
Does insytesBI need my bank login?
No. You only upload the file you exported. insytesBI never asks for your bank password or a one-time code, and no website should.
